How To Cut Your Vegetables For Chop Suey

Onions:
Make about three cuts vertically across each onion and then three horizontally.
Carrots:
Skin and slice diagonally.
Bell Peppers:
Cut in half, remove stem and seeds, then cut in ½ inch strips and then in half.
Celery:
Slice diagonally.
Mushrooms:
Purchased pre-sliced or sliced 1/8 inch thick.
Snow Peas:
No slicing, just remove the stringy part from both ends.
Garlic:
Using the side of the knife, smash each garlic and remove outer skin. Chop finely.
Cabbage:
Use ¼ of the head of cabbage. Remove center core. Cut in half lengthwise then 3 cuts crosswise.
Zucchini:
Slice diagonally in 1/8 inch thick and then in half.
